Ingredients

1: large sweet onion (Bermuda, Maui or Spanish), sliced

1: well-trimmed corned beef brisket (3 to 3 1/2 lb)

3/4: teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1: cup Progresso® reduced-sodium chicken broth

1: tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2: cup sour cream

1: tablespoon cream-style prepared horseradish

2: tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1 In 5- to 6-quart slow cooker, place onion. Thoroughly rinse beef; discard seasoning packet. Place beef on onion; sprinkle with red pepper flakes. In small bowl, mix broth and Worcestershire sauce; pour over beef.
2 Cover and cook on Low heat setting 8 to 9 hours or until beef is tender.
3 Remove beef and onion from cooker, using slotted spoon. Cut beef across grain into thin slices. In small bowl, stir sour cream, horseradish and parsley until blended. Serve with beef and onion.

Made this dish again this year. It was delicious ! I made mashed potato's as a side and it was perfect.. Very moist and savoring .

Made this yesterday for St. Patrick's Day. It was delicious. Cooked for nine hours on low and it was perfect. The sour cream sauce tasted blah to me so I added a little garlic powder, a little salt, and I dissolved one beef bouillon cube in a little boiling water and added that. It was just what it needed to suit our taste. I fixed cabbage Irish style (cook wedges, drain, chop up, add butter and stir). The cabbage was a perfect accompaniment and looked festive. (NOTE: I used the whole pint of sour cream and adjusted the recipe measurements accordingly. We had some of the sour cream-horse radish sauce left and it's delicious as a potato chip or vegetable dip.)

Just made this dish for ST. Patrick day delicious. The sauce was great and the corn beef came out perfect. The onions finished the whole dish. This is the only way to do corn beef.
