Absolutely delicious. The perfect amount of liquid and everything is so flavorful. I added a packet of taco seasoning for some extra kick and it was definitely spicy!

This was delicious! Used 4 chicken thighs, 29 oz can of pinto beans, 7 oz can of green chilies and 2 chipotle chilies. Cooked it for 6 hours and YUM! Figure it will be two nights dinner. Hubby loved it too!

This might be a tasty recipe...but...it is outlandishly unhealthy! Sodium intake is 3/4 of a day's allowance and the amount of fat is horrible. Lighten up, Betty Crocker, and start putting out recipes that will taste good and be good for your readers.

I made this Sunday to cook in the crock yesterday. I used chicken breasts, one large can of the green chile's, taco seasoning and added a can of chili beans and a half can of water to the mix. We keep a bottle of pureed chipotle peppers in adobo sauce with a small amount of honey and lime juice which I used in the recipe. Absolutely loved it. Also added some corn and cumin at the end. I sent this to some folks. Definitely making this again!

there doesn't seem to be any liquid in this recipe? shouldn't the gravy be made then go into the crockpot? otherwise it seems like it would all burn....

It's good that people pay attention to nutrition values. That way they can "customize a recipe to suit their lifestyle." If you don't like the sodium levels, use low salt substitutions. Don't like having gas after a meal? Don't eat the beans. Seriously. Use some imagination. Experiment. You might come up with a variation on this recipe that you can share with the rest of us. ;-)

This recipe sounds healthty to me. Chicken is always a good choice and you can never get unhealth with beans in a meal. I plan on making it. The calories are fine, look at the fiber.

Thank you to the people who try a recipe and print helpful comments as to flavor and so on, which is what I believe the test of us want. To those who seem to think their duty is to tell us all what to eat and not eat based upon nutritional value, please do not waste your time and ours telling us something we already know and/or can read for ourselves if interested. It is not your job to lecture or give advice about nutrition. That is not the purpose of the comment area.
