EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

If diced tomatoes with zesty mild green chilies are not available, use plain diced tomatoes and add a 4.5-ounce can of Old El Paso® chopped green chiles.

Serve warm corn muffins with butter and honey along with this hearty chili.

Garnish chili with sour cream, shredded Cheddar cheese and fresh cilantro.

Very easy recipe and the family loved it! It was more soupy than stew-y in consistency as others have said, but we just ate it with crackers and the flavor was great!

I followed the directions exactly, but found this was more soupy than a stew should be. In fact, my husband asked me not to make it again, and I had to thicken it to get him to eat the leftovers. I also found it a bit heavy on the potatoes. If I did make it again, I would use less liquid, fewer potatoes, and add carrots.

My family loved it! I didn't have cumin, I used cilantro instead and I cooked it on the stove for about 2 1/2 hours. I served it with corn bread. I am definately going to make it again! As a matter of fact, it's leftover night!
