This soup has great flavor and was really easy to make. I forgot to buy salsa verde so I just put in some regular salsa. I also forgot to add the tomatoes at the end. But it still tastes great. I just sprinkle a little shredded cheese on the top after I heat up. Great as leftovers.

This is great! My husband kept telling me how great it is and that this recipe is a "keeper". I did use navy beans and canned tomatoes as suggested by other reviewers.

Oh my goodness ..this was delicious..did a couple of different things or changes. Used 1 can Navy Beans and 1 can of black beans drained and rinsed in place of garbanzo beans. Used 1 can of diced tomatoes in place of fresh. Used 3 cans of chicken broth instead of 2. Fantastic meal! This is definitely a keeper. Oh one more thing...added 1 small green chili..wow made it very spicy so be careful...my honey bunny loved it!

This was great, and my family loved it. I didn't have time to cook in crockpot, so cooked in my soup pot on top of stove. I substitued half a can of tomatoes in the place of fresh. I was very pleased with soup. It was first time making torilla soup. I might put in half a can of black beans next time, for extra color and taste.

Simple and easy to make but definitely not simple as far as taste goes. This was the first time I have made Chicken Tortilla Soup. My family loves it so I will definitely be serving this more often.

This was an amazing and easy dish the whole family loved. I assembled everything but the chicken the night before, then threw it with the chicken in a dutch oven at 225 degrees in the morning. (We only have a small crock pot.) I needed to add another 1.5 cups of broth at the end, probably because the dutch oven is pretty big, making the soup rather shallow and prone to reduce faster. Family LOVED it, topped it with a little sour cream and shredded Mexican cheese. Super easy, and I would make it again.

I make this recipe as written. It is easy and delicious. My 10 year old son calls it "heavenly". I always pack it in the kids lunches the next day!
