This recipe is great, if you use the right curry powder. Not sure what the other posters did wrong, but in my experience, most grocery store curry powders are very blah. You should find a high-quality, flavorful curry powder. I used Penzeys Garam Masala.
I also upped the pineapple to 28 oz. (one 20 oz. can and one 8 oz. can), and used fresh jalapeno peppers instead of the canned chiles. Delish.
