This recipe somehow fell flat. Not sure what could be done to make it taste better... it was just greatly lacking the flavor that I expected it to have after smelling the wonderful aroma it created while it was cooking. Nobody in my family particularly cared for it. It wasn't horrible, there just wasn't anything memorable about it. Definitely not worth wasting 1/2 cup of bourbon on or the 5-6 hours cooking time so unfortunately it won't be a keeper.

For all the wonderful ingredients, it did not turn out as well as I expected from the previous review. They soy sauce seemed overpowering, and made the dish harsh and over-salted. I will not be making this again.
