Expert Tips

Try your favorite fully cooked sausage ring or other smoked sausage such as bratwurst or kielbasa in this recipe.

Make this dish super easy by buying prechopped onion. You’ll usually find it with the frozen vegetables.

Hearty whole-grain or dark bread, such as pumpernickel, and sliced crisp apples complement the flavors of this dish.

Easy & tasty. Used Sweet & Spicy bbq sauce so there was plenty of flavor. Had to leave it on for 8 hrs so it got really dry. Would recommend extra sauce or water.

This is a keeper! Nice flavor to the beans, and easy enough to cut in half so it doesn't make quite as much. The kids said I need to cook two sausages with it next time instead of just the one.
