Take slow cooker pork stew far east with Asian ingredients including water chestnuts, bamboo shoots and hoisin sauce. Ladled over rice, it's a complete meal.

Sorry Betty Crocker, did not enjoy this at all. Took a few bites and then tossed it. I just did not like the flavors.

Good flavors, just be sure not to over cook it! I cooked it for the seven hours and it was a little mushy. My family liked the flavors and I will make it again, just with less cook time.

I used beef roast instead of pork. In lieu of soy sauce I used an asian sriracha hot sauce. It will be right next to the hoisin sauce at the store. It was less salty. I also added 1 and a half red bell peppers, but no mushrooms. Everyone loved it. People actually asked for the recipe so you know it was good.

Easy to follow and really tasty! I didn't have hoisin sauce, so I used BBQ sauce instead and loved it. I will definitely be making this again. :)

My husband is into slow cookery and he fixed this recipe with a few minor adjustments. The pork came out exceptionally tender and the vegetables were done to perfection. I loved the results. He used all the soy sauce we had in the house, and inadvertantly added about twice as much Allegro Marinade as a substitute, but it was fine as we had more liquid than we anticipated, all to the good.

I used a 3 1/2lb pkg of western pork ribs (with bones), and along with some rice it strecthed the meat to feed my family of 6! The meat just fell off the bone! It was a nice twist on stew. My family loved it! They all said I could add it to our repertoire of family favorites! There was even enough for 2 leftover lunches! So yummy!!!!

I love basmati rice! It adds another layer of flavor and fragrance to the dish. And I would add snow peas next time I make the dish. Another layer of crunch!
