I think the cooking time is too long. It overcooks the oatmeal and makes it mushy. The taste is good, though. Really good with brown sugar on it.

I had high hopes for this recipe as it looked delicious and smelled fantastic while cooking (and in the morning). BUT I woke up to oatmeal and fruit floating in liquid. So I uncovered the crockpot and cranked it to high. Though the liquid evaporated, what was left in the crock was inedible. It was slimy and had no texture to it at all. Huge disappointment.

We really liked this - and so easy! Although, it didn't have a lot of dimension to it, so I would add some walnuts or pecans next time.

My husband's new favorite breakfast. I made, at his request, some without using the slowcooker--just scaled it back for 1 serving and made it on the stove top. Just as good. Also replaced fruit with banana's(add last without cooking them), walnuts, and maple syrup--to change things up (also a get hit with him).
