I used lean meat, no onions, and only sprinkled a little cheese on top. The biggest change for me was adding half a container of ricotta cheese. Omg, the ricotta was fabulous! I adjusted the amount of sauce, cheese, and spices to taste. I also cooked my lasagna noodles separately to make it faster and omitted the water. It's a must-try this way! This is one of our regulars :-)

Really good! I needed to add more water and boil longer...more like 20 mins. I also threw in some feta cheese along with the mozza on top. It turned out Deelish.

We loved this meal..I used regular sized lasagne and broke it up (be careful doing the breaking it can stick you or cut you) I use a zip lock bag and break it with a small household kitchen only hammer or anything else will work too. I fix this at least once a month since we all love it.

Yum - quick and easy recipe. Taste is great - I used fusilli pasta and the 15 minutes worked fine. I also used Paul Newmans pasta sauce. Will keep this recipe for a quick dinner on a busy night.

Made this for dinner tonight and my husband and daughter loved it. It is a challenge to get my 2 year old to eat anything with meat, but she loved this and had seconds. I added more italian seasoning, some parsley, and some garlic and it was perfect. I read the reviews that said it took more than 15 minutes to cook the noodles, but I think that really depends on what kind of noodles you use. I used smaller ones and mine was cooked in the 15 minutes.

Sooo good and very quick to make! I used extra-wide egg noodles because I couldn't find mafalda, and it turned out perfect - still looked like lasagna noodles (which is better than using bow-tie etc. because I want it to look like "lasagna"). I followed the recipe pretty closely, but cooked the veggies separate from the meat (to drain it better) and added ~2 Tbsp chopped garlic when I sauteed the onions and peppers. I agree with the others: The noodles do take longer than written to cook, but I just kept simmering, didn't worry about cooking separately. Totally amazing! Husband doesn't really love italian, but he LOVED this! No leftovers! Can't wait to make again!!

Very easy to make. My family loved it. I changed it up a little bit. I put diced tomatoes, basil, garlic powder, and onion powder. I also used bowtie pasta and used a little chedder cheese as well and it was great. My husband wants to use sausage next time. It was delicios.

Easy and absolutely delicious. My boyfriend loved it and so did I, although I definitely made some changes. We like things a little spicier! I added 1/2 to 1 pound (not sure how much was in the bag) of HOT Italian sausage to beef, onions and peppers. I also used about 1/2 a box of wheat Farfalle or Bow Tie pasta...it's my favorite...instead of the mafalda. For the sauce, I used a can (I think about 26 oz.) of Hunt's Hot and Spicy Sauce. Because of the increase in pasta, I added more water as needed during cooking. It definitely took longer to cook than the directions said, but I think cooking the pasta in the sauce and not pre-cooking it makes it more flavorful. I cooked until pasta was done, and obviously with my increased ingredients, it made more than 4 servings. I skipped the mushrooms cause I didn't have any in the pantry or fridge, but would add them next time, along with some black olives.
