This ham and vegetable skillet version of the traditional baked au gratin gives you the same delicious results but in a fraction of the time.

I really like this one, but use corn & broccoli. What I do is eliminate the onion and butter, toss the ham in with the potatoes, sauce mix, hot water (cut to about 1 1/4 cup) and pepper and continue. After the first 15 minute simmer, instead of adding carrots I add frozen corn (about 1 1/2 cup) and frozen broc (about 2 cups loosely chopped). Cover and simmer another 10 mins, then stir in about 1/4 cup half/half and the cheese (again, about a cup and a half). Very yummy! Kids & hubby love it!

Wow.. this was fantastic. What a great way to use the left over ham from Christmas dinner. I added some garlic with the onions and used a can of peas that I rinsed off instead of the broccoli. So you could use anything you have in the pantry really. We ate the whole pan that night! I didn't find it too salty, but that is just my opinion. Delicious and yummy and I will make again for my family.

This was delicious! i've made it twice. the first time i followed the recipe and it was MUCH too slaty. The second time I simply added more vegetables and the recipe was then PERFECT! Also, I think it tates much better with just extra broccoli rather than carrots. This is great and my family loves it.

This is a good recipe. I normally use the Augraten potatoes and add about four more fresh sliced russett potatoes. I place the ham on the bottom of my casserole dish and put two cans of Green Giant niblets on top of the ham and then put all the potatoes on top of it. I then add the boiling water and milk and the pkg of cheese powder according to the directions on box, along with another 3/4 C whole milk. Dot with butter. Bake in oven at 325 until done. I usually stir once during the baking and loosely cover with foil so it doesn't brown too much. My famly loves the au Gratin potatoes made both ways!

Very quick and easy, tasted good. It was a bit salty but not too bad. I also added about 1/2 cup skim milk to make the sauce a little creamier.

This recipe sounded good especially once I read the reviews, but I must tell you the presentation wasn't acceptable. It just didn't look very appetizing. I even tried putting it into a nice bowl and that didn't help. My family will not eat anything that doesn't look good. This recipe would be great for a campout and that's it.

This recipe is a good all in one meal. Since my husband does not like broccoli, I substituted cauliflower and it was tasty. One thing I believe will improve this dish is to replace the ham with hillshire smoke sausage ring or italian sausage ring. Will definitely making this dish again.

This was an exceptionally tasty meal. We had leftovers and they will be served as a side dish later this week. I didn't have any broccoli on hand, so I substituted frozen peas. My husband says, "This is a keeper."
