It’s a do-ahead, take-along, crunchy-munchy crowd pleaser. Enjoy!

This has been a family favorite for years, however, like one other review, we layer the ingredients one at a time, and add a package of Sweetner and rasins as well! Adds a nice sweetness to the mayo and veggies.

My version is lettuce torn into bite size pieces on bottom, layer diced celery, then layer diced carrots, then layer of diced red onion, then I mix 2 cups of mayo w/a little bit of dried ranch dressing mix and mix the peas in with the mayo blend and layer on. Next a generous layering of shredded cheese and topped w/a jar of real bacon bits.

A delicious combination of ingredients. I used veggie bacon instead of real bacon and the whole family agreed, it was amazing!

My seven layers are lettuce, red onion, frozen peas (I heat them for a couple of minutes and drain in cold water), boiled eggs, mayonnaise and turkey bacon to top it off. This salad is usually the first thin to go - it's easy prep and the mayo acts as dressing so no need for that! It's good for large groups.

I have been making a version of this receipe for 20 years, everyone loves it. In my version the bottom is the salad greens, next is bite size pieces of broccoli, or bit size pieces of califlower, layer of frozen thawed peas, 1/2 cup chopped onions, mayo to seal it, then 1/4 cup of sugar spread on mayo, 1/2 cup grated parmesean, and crumbled bacon. Stir before you serve. Usually none left...

I make this all the time, however, I put it in a 9 x 13 clear dish that way everyone gets all of the salad and not just some of it. I tear leaf lettuce into bite sizes, slice 2 to 3 stalks of celery thin, slice/chop fine 1/2 a red onion, and mix thoroughly in the dish. Then I place frozen peas in microwave for 2 minutes and then immediately put them in ice water and drain, and put on lettuce mixture. I use Light Mayo (a small jar). Then I sprinkle a handful of shredded cheese and crumble 2 slices of bacon on top. There is never any left.

I've been making this for 20+ years and vary the layers to what's on hand or what's the freshest or yummiest looking at the farmers market. Miracle Whip is a must in mine along with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, radishes, cheese, peas (sometimes fresh from the pod from the farmers market) - I also add water chestnuts, boiled eggs and black olives sometimes. Always a hit and like another person mentioned, NO LEFTOVERS EVER!!

Been making this for years with a couple changes, my family doesn''t do radishes. I have also never seen it with the celery. We use chopped boiled eggs as one layer, and count the layer of miracle whip as the seventh layer. When I make it I also repeat the layers a second time, when you chill it the weight compresses it some and you can scoop it and maintain the layering pretty well. This is a much loved salad, I even have a special straight sided salad bowl so that you can see the beautiful layers when you set it on the table. Enjoy!

I make this a little different. My seven layers are lettuce, 1 cup chopped green peppers, 1 cup chopped celery, 10 oz frozen peas, 2 cups mayo mixed with 2 tablespoons sugar, 12 oz shredded cheddar. Put in fridge overnight and the next day add on jar of Hormel real bacon bits and one package of your favorite croutons. Mix and enjoy !!
