Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz) Old El Paso™ Traditional Refried Beans
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Old El Paso™ Original Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (4 oz) Old El Paso™ Chopped Green Chiles
  • 1 cup thick & chunky salsa
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar or Mexican cheese blend (8 oz)
  • 1 can (2.25 oz) sliced ripe olives, drained (1/2 cup)
  • 1 medium tomato, diced (3/4 cup)
  • Food Should Taste Good™ blue corn tortilla chips, as desired

Steps

  • 1
In medium bowl, mix refried beans and taco seasoning mix. Spread mixture on large platter.
  • 2
In another medium bowl, mix cream cheese and chiles. Carefully spread over bean mixture.
  • 3
Top with salsa, lettuce, cheese, olives and tomato. Refrigerate until serving time. Serve with tortilla chips.

  • To add an eighth layer—and extra creamy goodness—to this layered bean dip, sprinkle chopped ripe avocado on top of the bean mixture. You'll end up with an even more colorful and delicious Mexican bean dip!
  • Sprinkle fresh cilantro sprigs on top of your 7-layer taco dip for a finishing touch.
  • Make crisp veggie “chips” to dunk into your 7-layer Mexican dip with sliced zucchini, carrot coins, jicama slices or sticks and sweet bell pepper strips.
