Expert Tips

Sesame seed, also known as benne seed, has a slightly sweet, nutty flavor. Store covered in a cool, dark place up to 3 months. Sesame seed will last up to 6 months when refrigerated and up to a year when frozen.

Personalize this quick bread by adding your favorite fresh herb. Two tablespoons chopped fresh or 2 teaspoons dried basil or sage leaves sprinkled on the top before baking will create irresistible aromas and flavors.
