  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup sesame seed
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or 1 teaspoon freeze-dried chives

Steps

  • 1
Cut pork into 12 slices. Flatten pork slices to 1/2-inch thickness between sheets of plastic wrap or waxed paper.
  • 2
Set oven control to broil. Brush pork with oil. Place pork on rack in broiler pan. Sprinkle with half of the sesame seed. Broil pork with tops 4 to 6 inches from heat 6 minutes; turn. Sprinkle with remaining sesame seed. Broil about 5 minutes longer or until pork is slightly pink in center.
  • 3
Melt butter in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook garlic in butter about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally; reduce heat. Add cream cheese and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until smooth and hot. Stir in chives. Serve sauce with pork.

  • Add healthful sides of steamed broccoli and carrots to complement this pork dish.
  • Pork tenderloin is an excellent choice for quick meals because it cooks very fast, yet stays tender and moist.
  • Grilling Directions: Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat. After brushing pork with oil, coat both sides with sesame seed. Cover and grill pork 4 to 6 inches from medium heat 12 to 15 minutes, turning once, until pork is slightly pink in center.
