    Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom of 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. Make and bake brownies as directed on box. Cool completely on cooling rack, about 1 hour.

    Spread chocolate frosting on top of brownies. Divide vanilla frosting in 3 small microwavable bowls. Add blue, red and yellow food colors as desired, stir to blend. For each bowl, microwave tinted frosting uncovered on High 5 to 10 seconds or until thin enough to drizzle.

    Pour warmed frosting into 3 small resealable plastic bags. Cut off small bottom corner of each bag; drizzle frosting over top of brownies. Let stand until frosting is set, about 1 hour 30 minutes. Store covered at room temperature.

  • Change it Up! Use any combination of tinted frosting to make these brownies appropriate for baby showers, weddings, even the Fourth of July!
  • Watch closely when warming frosting in the microwave; it does not need a lot of time before it starts to melt down into a looser texture, perfect for drizzling.
  • Can't wait? Refrigerate frosted and drizzled brownies for 15 minutes to set frosting.
  • The secret for cutting brownies easily is to line the pan with foil. Turn the pan upside down and tear off a piece of foil longer than the pan. Smooth foil around pan bottom, then remove. Turn pan over, and gently fit shaped foil into pan. When it's time to cut the brownies, just lift the baked brownie with the foil out of the pan, peel back foil and cut. This also makes cleanup extra easy.
  • Short of time? Drizzle warmed frosting with a fork over top of brownie.
