Our quick and savory game-day snack is a mix of Kix cereal, pretzels and peanuts.

Brooke McLay Recipe by Brooke McLay

Ingredients

6
cups Kix® cereal
6
cups small pretzel twists
1 1/2
cups salted peanuts
1/2
cup butter
1/4
cup soy sauce
2
tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2
tablespoons Dijon mustard

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 400°F. In large bowl, stir together cereal, pretzels and peanuts; set aside.
  • 2 In 1-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Stir in soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until well coated. Spread on ungreased large cookie sheet.
  • 3 Bake 15 to 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Store in large food-storage plastic bag, reusable container, or pretty glass jar.

Expert Tips

Toss in any of these additions for an even tastier mix—1/2 cup of sunflower nuts or roasted pumpkin seeds, 3 cups Chex® cereal or 1 cup dried wasabi peas.

Need a make-ahead game treat? This recipe can be baked the day before then stored at room temperature until you're ready to cheer your team to victory!
