There were very good except they were too greasy, but what can i expect from pork sausage. I one viewer said they were aweful and tasted like balls of bread. I didn't put in but 1 cup of the bisquick and they came out perfect!!

I have been making Sausage Cheese Balls for years, but not according to this recipe. Used 1/2 lb pork (breakfast) sausage and 1/2 lb HOT pork sausage (I like Jimmy Dean). Use about 2 - 2 1/2 cups Bisquik and 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar. Let sausages come to room temp, then mix all ingredients with hands until all are incorporated. Make 1" balls and bake at 375 for about 8-10 minutes. They are very popular and freeze well, too.

These were the worst things I have ever tasted. I wasted the ingredients because no one else at the party wanted to eat them either. They were dry and pasty, no taste except slight sausage flavor. There is nothing that can be done to fix this recipe.

As the recipe reads I'd give it 3 stars, they were good, but not something I'd make again without changes. Lacked in flavor and were on the dry side.

I have made the original 3 ingredient recipe for years and years. For easy mixing, using a stand mixer: sausage into the bowl, add the Bisquik, using a dough hook on low speed, mix ONLY until barely mixed, add grated cheese, barely mix. You should be able to identify the ingredients. DO NOT OVER MIX. form into walnut sized ball, bake as directed. These directions should work with the new and improved recipe. My husband loves these! (I use Jimmy Dean Sausage. TN Pride should be good too.)
