Saturday Night Supper

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken or turkey
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 can (15 ounces) Italian-style tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked small pasta shells
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

    Heat oven to 400°.
  • 2
    Cook chicken in 10-inch skillet over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink; drain.

    Spoon chicken into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Stir in vegetables, tomato sauce, pasta, garlic salt and pepper.

    Cover and bake about 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stir; sprinkle with cheese.

  • You can use elbow macaroni in place of small pasta shells in recipes such as this one.
  • This is a casserole even the kids will like. Serve with chocolate milk and fresh fruit.
