Salted Caramel Skillet Brownie

Betty Crocker Original Supreme Brownie mix is transformed into a salted caramel treat. Baked in a skillet, serve them warm, right from the oven.

box (1 lb 2.4 oz) Betty Crocker™ Original Supreme Premium brownie mix
Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
cup caramel topping
teaspoon coarse sea salt


  • 1 Heat oven to 325°F. Spray 10- to 12-inch cast-iron skillet with cooking spray. Make brownie mix as directed on box, using water, oil and egg. Pour batter into skillet.
  • 2 Bake 35 to 37 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 30 minutes.
  • 3 Pour caramel topping over brownie. Sprinkle with salt. Cut into 8 wedges. Serve warm.

Expert Tips

To ensure your brownies do not stick, be sure to use a well-seasoned cast-iron skillet that has a smooth cooking surface without any defects or flaws.

Like brownies with nuts? Sprinkle chopped walnuts or other nuts on the baked brownies, or mix them into the brownie batter. For best flavor, toast the walnuts first.

Salt comes in many different types and flavors. Most grocery stores now carry at least 2 to 3 types of sea salts you can choose from.
