slices pumpernickel cocktail bread

cup onion-and-chive cream cheese spread (from 8-oz tub)

slices salmon lox (6 oz)

very thin strips red or green bell pepper

sprigs fresh dill weed

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 400°F. On ungreased cookie sheet, bake bread slices 4 to 5 minutes or until crisp.
  • 2 Spread bread slices with cream cheese spread. Top with lox, bell pepper and dill weed sprigs.

Expert Tips

If you don't have pumpernickel cocktail bread, you can use French bread, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices.
