in my old 1991 betty crocker cookbook the receipe is slightly different: 1 box vanilla cookies, 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 cup chopped pecans, 1/4 cup cocoa powder, 1/2 cup bourbon/rum, 1/4 cup light corn syrup. I use the blender to crush the cookies and the pecans, and roll teh balls in granulated sugar. Cover tightly for at least 4 days. Each year people start asking for these in October. I only make them for Christmas. They are always a big hit.
