I loved the end results. It may have taken me 3 hours to make, but it was well worth the time. I made it for my 2 years old birthday and she loved it. I didn't have a custard pan, so I bought 2 cake mix boxes and made 3 9inch round cakes and cut the 3rd one for the ducks head. Also did what 1 reviewer did and gave my daugher the ducks head and served the rest of the cake to everyone else. Ended up looking just like the picture. Will def. make again.

MY DAUGHTER WANTED TO MAKE THIS CAKE FOR HER 10TH BIRTHDAY...IT TURNED OUT GREAT! IT WAS SIMPLE AND QUICK TO MAKE. SHE SUBSTITUTED LARGE QUARTER SIZE "SMARTIES" FOR THE EYES, AND USED THE CHOC CHIP FOR THE PUPIL. SHE LOVES DUCKS, AND GOT REAL DUCKS FOR HER BIRTHDAY!!! GIVE IT A TRY!

I made this cake for my son's 1st birthday! everyone thought it was adorable! his older siblings really liked it also! it wasn't to hard to make, the how-to video was a big help! i could not find the candies for the eyes so i cut a marshmallow in half then put chocolate chips in the middle for the eyes! it turned out adorable!

I made this for Books 2 Eat and featured it with Eric Carle's 10 Rubber Ducks. The cakes were auctioned off later in the day. I wasn't able to stay for the event so I don't know how it went, but everyone who saw it as I was setting it up loved it. Thanks for such an awesome design. I made it with white cake, lemon filling and also used yellow crusting buttercream for a smooth finish.

THIS WAS ADORABLE! My grandmother made it for my daughters first birthday and it was a HUGE hit at the party. We took the little cake off and gave it all to her (without the candies of course) and it was the perfect size for her!

This cake was so cute!! My 12 year old picked it out as we searched this site for cakes. For the eyes I cut a marshmellow in half and made a hole in the middle for a piece of hard round candy to sit into, I used three orange slices in the front for each foot, and for the tail I used four marshmallows I laid the first two close to the body side by side and the next two a little apart but still attached to the first marshmellows and then frosted them. I used the tip of my knif to "dot" the frosting all over the cake to make it look like feathers. It turned out wonderful!! Right now rubber ducks seem to be the "in" thing with the girls her age so this was perfect!!! Thanks Betty Crocker, I can always count on you!!
