Ingredients

cups Chex® cereal (any variety)

cups checkerboard-shaped pretzels

cups sesame sticks
1
cup mixed nuts
3
tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1/4
cup honey
2
tablespoons sesame seed, toasted*, if desired

  • 1 In large microwavable bowl, mix cereal, pretzels, sesame sticks and nuts.
  • 2 In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter on High about 30 seconds or until melted. Stir in honey and sesame seed. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
  • 3 Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until mixture just begins to brown. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.

*To quickly toast sesame seed, cook in small nonstick skillet over medium heat 1 to 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until light golden brown.

To ease the load of last-minute preparation, make this snack mix up to 1 week ahead and store in airtight container.

after I mixed all the snack ingredients it was a really good mix..but putting the honey and butter in it and roasting it kind of ruined the flavor I thought. You really couldn''t taste the honey....my company liked it though so it wasn''t that bad.
