Recently retired, so, since my wife is still working, I've taken over the kitchen. I made this dish to go with a leg of lamb at easter . . . I doubled the recipe, even though there were only five of us . . . and it all got eaten! Very easy to make, and really great flavor . . . I used a Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese aged 5 years, and it was great! This may replace our regular garlic and olive oil sauted asparagus from now on!

I served this with Easter dinner. I didn't have oregano and used Italian seasoning, and used garlic powder and fresh ground pepper. It was amazing. Everyone loved it. I plan to grill it next time.

These are also great cooked on the grill. Place on a piece of aluminium foil or a grill basket and place on top rack of the grill.

I've used this several times for family gatherings and it is always a hit. We're a mixed bunch when it comes to vegetables but everyone loves this...plus it's so easy to make.

These are just excellent! They are the perfect accompaniment to a barbeque, and they're superfast and easy. I've also served them as appetizers. EVERYbody asks for the recipe. The only thing I did differently was I used fresh oregano (didn't have any dried), and I used garlic powder and pepper separately because I didn't have any "garlic pepper blend." I would HIGHLY recommend these. You can cook them to be al dente and snap back a little, or cook a little more and have them be a tad softer. Anything goes, and they will ALL be gobbled up!

What a great recipe. This is the first time I have managed to enjoy me cooking asparagus and it wasn't over cooked. It was just perfect and the flavors were wonderful. Even my husband liked it and he isn't an asparagus fan.
