Roasted Lemony Asparagus

This easy recipe for roasted fresh asparagus dressed with lemon is a perfect side dish to pair with any roast dinner.

Ingredients

lb fresh asparagus

tablespoons olive oil

teaspoon salt
1/2
teaspoon pepper

lemon, thinly sliced

Directions

  • 1 Set oven control to broil. Snap off and discard tough ends of asparagus. In large bowl, toss asparagus with oil, salt, pepper and lemon slices. Arrange asparagus in single layer in 17x12-inch half-sheet pan.
  • 2 Broil with tops 3 inches from heat 5 to 10 minutes or until browned.

Expert Tips

Thinly slice garlic cloves to add to the asparagus. The garlic will caramelize during cooking and add a punch of flavor.
