This is ABSOLUTELY, FANTABULOUSLY, DEE-LISH!! I made extra tomato mix and topped it on fresh asiago french bread to make bruschetta! Yummy in my tummy!! Husband always asks for this!

I was given a cookbook with this recipe in 1987. I''ve made it every summer since then when tomatoes are fresh. It gets rave reviews with everyone who''s had it. Fabulous!!!!

This recipe is a big hit amongst my friends and family. I usually double the ingredients so I''ll have leftovers for myself but they always manage to finish it in one sitting. The capers and basil are what makes this recipe a hit. Make sure to use all fresh ingredients unless you want this dish to be a dud.

I had this at a summer picnic and the flavors were distinct and delicious... I believe the woman who made it had small fresh minced garlic and no capers... It was excellent.. Refreshing!
