I have been using this recipe since the beginning of 2011 and have now completed making cake pops for 4 celebrations. I just finished making these for the 4th of July! These are so easy and so quick! I found that using my mini crock pot with a small bowl (be sure it is made for use with hot foods) inserted inside the crock pot makes the perfect candy melt! Candy stays melted and does not get too hot. It is also deep enough to easily dip the cake pops. Swirling the pops in the candy melt sometimes results in the stick coming out and the cake separating. Be sure to dip and lean the pop from one side to the other, being very careful.
