I made these for Christmas Eve and they were a big hit. Also left off the nuts and got many raves. Tasted even better after they had been refrigerated a while. Will definitely make again.

What a moist and delicious cookie! I used a small batter scoop instead of rolling the dough into balls. I think it made the recipe easier. I left off the nuts. These were such a hit!

Yup, these were good. But they really just tasted like a brownie with cream cheese icing. However, I must be honest, I accidentally forgot sour cream on my shopping list. So I used cream cheese instead. The mix was too dry with just that, so I added some milk. I used a small ice cream scooper to place on the pan because I didn't want the dye all over my hands. I always bake at a lower temp than what Betty recommends. I baked at 350 for 10-11 minutes. Perfect! I also used Green food coloring to make Green Velvet Cookies to go with my Strawberry Cream Cheese Trifle. It made a xmas holiday treat!

These cookies are excellent! They are easy to make, taste delicious and freeze well. Since the frosting lasts for a month in the refrigerator, I froze them unfrosted and take out what I need at the time and frost as needed.
