Comments: This is the second time I made these. 2/3 cup oil is too much, so I used 1/3 cup and it was perfect. |

Comments: This wasn't a good recipe. There was a lack of sugar and they puffed up too much. Even with an additional 1/4 cup of sugar, they didn't taste good. They tasted like oily flour. |

Comments: These were pretty good for having so few ingredients. I was so happy they didn't take much time, but still tasted great. |

Comments: Good basic recipe. I use margarine or butter instead of the oil. Makes it more moist and tasty. I add extra extra sugar since i don't use the gelatin. I also use a little extra flour to make the batter a little thicker. I didn't make the recipe as is i made some changes right away since i know what i prefer. But a good basic recipe for a beginner to branch off of. Once you try it once though these are guranteed to be easy cookies. I don't even use measuring cups. Overall a good reciepe as usual you always have to adjust according to your stove and liking. :D |

Comments: I love this recipe and have used it for years! These cookies are so easy to make and the recipe can be flexible according to one's taste. My family loves it when, instead of 2 tsp. of vanilla, I use 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. almond extract, AND 1 tsp. butter flavoring and then top each cookie before baking with a thin almond slice along with a sprinkle of sugar. Always a huge hit! Most of the time, I don't flatten the cookie - I just use my little cookie dough scooper, drop on the cookie sheet, sprinkle with sugar and bake. They flatten out pretty well on their own. If I want to make sure there is sugar edge to edge, I do flatten them so there is a larger surface to sprinkle sugar onto. Don't over bake this cookie or it can be dry but still delicious. Watch the cookies carefully while they bake since ovens tend to have their own ideas about temperature and can vary significantly from what the temp is set for. When the edges start to brown, check the cookies. If the center is set, remove from the oven. If the center is still 'wet' or sticky, bake a little longer. Once you've baked the first sheet or two of cookies, adjust the time accordingly and you'll come up with the best baking time for your particular oven.
I have found that we prefer this cookie made with corn oil, rather than vegetable oil. Trying to follow the current health trend, I tried canola oil once, and we didn't like that batch at all. |

Comments: These cookies were aweful! The batter stuck to the glass when we tried to flatten them, and they had a weird, greasy taste when baked. Definitely not a recipe I'll be using again. :( |

Comments: I decided to make these at the last minute on Christmas Eve. They were wonderful...BUT, I used 1 1/2 cups of sugar instead of what it called for. I made 1/2 the batch plain and frosted afterwards and the other half I used rasberry flavored Jello per the recipe. They were both wonderful!! Quick and easy and I will be filing this recipe for future use. |

Comments: This was the quickest cookie recipe from mixing to eating that I have ever had. My 19 year old son and I had the munchies late at night - within 20 minutes, we were enjoying them. I substituted Splenda for the sugar and Heart Smart Bisquick baking mix for the flour. My son tasted them and said they were great. He ran off with 1/2 dozen. I got pretty good sized cookies (2" in diameter) and the batch made almost 2 dozen. My thought is: if you want more cookies, double the batch!! :) |

Comments: I made these last year as a new Christmas cookie and the strawberry ones were a hit. A few people weren't big on the lime taste of the green ones but all in all I can't wait to make new flavors. My mother tried them with lemon Jello and loved them. They're similiar to wafers. |

Comments: These weren't the best- -They didn't turn out like how I had expected them to,They only made about 20 cookies, not 4 dozen and I didn't add the gelatin stuff for the sprinkles, so I would advise to add more sugar if you want more taste. The cookies really had no taste to them. |
