I agree with the others the filling is way too sweet! To taste like a candy we all know and love I added almond extract. It needs more coconut and less powdered sugar. The concept is good but I need to play with the filling. I just melted chocolate on top and used milk chocolate. I did not have any whipping cream. the top and bottom layers are good - it's the middle that needs work and it's rare that I say something is too sweet.

WAYYYY too much sugar. Used half the amount only with splenda and it was much better

Just finished making this bar treat. Over all an okay concept, but would modify the measurements of ingredients for the middle filling. Way to sugar vanilla sweet and not enough coconut flavor. Under complimented the chocolate. Recipie has potential to be enhanced. Not sure if would make a second batch.

This recipe takes a little while, but is well worth the length of time and effort. Even novice cooks should have success.
