I too had a hard time finding the black licorice but ended up finding in a specialty candy store. We made these for a pirate themed birthday and they were a hit with both the kids and the adults. Would definitely make again even without the pirate decorations. |

The only problem with these is, I couldn't find black string licorice, only the regular kind. Also, all the Fruit By the Foot is now in multi-colors or has tongue tattoos on them. I made do though, and the tie-dyed actually looked pretty cool. |

I adapted this recipe for adults- same cupcake recipe but without the pirate theme. Everyone at work loved them! I will definetly make these again!!! |
