we really enjoyed these--even the men who were "suspicious" of cupcakes with pumpkin in them! added more spice and didn't bother with nuts to cut calories--made a moist, dense cake that was delicious!

These are fantastic!! I was craving something sweet and easy to make with pumpkin and these really did the trick. The cake part was wonderfully light and fluffy while the pecans added the perfect crunch and sweetness. My roommates and I couldn't stop eating them. Definitely a new favorite!!

I'm shocked to see so many people who don't like pumpkin? but anyway these are very simple to make and yummy!! I added more spices to the mix and did the frosting differently. i used a whipped vanilla frosting with cinnamon & pumpkin spice added to it to spice it up a bit. Because i for one LOVE Pumpkin!

I think people are not use to tasting pumpkin when they bit into a cupcake, but these were really good. I don't like pumpkin much but these I did enjoy. They were a hit with my co-workers.

These cupcakes are easy to do. Making them went smoothly. I really liked the taste of them. I brought them to a little get together and they weren't the most popular thing...but people did enjoy them. Overall they are great.

I am not a pumpkin person, but I will eat this! I tested the recipe this morning, but instead I used the spiced cake mix instead of yellow cake mix and I used butter cream icing instead of cream cheese icing. I also used a sheet cake pan instead of making them into cupcakes, and after I frosted it, I sprinkled pumpkin pie spice on the top of the icing instead of using the sugared pecans...this thing is soooooooooooooooo YUMMY!!!! I would definately recommend this recipe!!! :)

Four stars instead of five because this is the same recipe as the Pumpkin Praline Cake, only minus the praline--and that was the part that made it unbelieveably good. Still, these are excellent; very moist and full of pumpkin and spice flavor. I can't stand BC's Cream Cheese Frosting (sickly sweet--ick), and the cream cheese frosting I make for the Pumpkin Praline Cake is deliberately low on sweetness to cut the super-sweet taste of the praline. These cupcakes, though, are more like muffins--not very sweet on their own. I'd add more powdered sugar to the frosting for these. Just in case anyone is interested, here's how I make homemade cream cheese frosting: 8 oz cream cheese 4-6 TBSP butter (salted) splash of milk and vanilla extract Then add powdered sugar until the taste and texture is to your liking. Also, for pumpkin recipes, I'd add 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp ground cloves, & 1/4 tsp allspice to the frosting. It adds just a bit of spice, and looks very pretty.

Although we baked these in a mini-bundt muffin pan, they turned out wonderfully moist and tasty. Adding a little water to the pecans makes it easier to melt the sugar and results in perfectly sugared pecans. Can't wait to try them with some warmed pumpkin butter and spice dip instead of cream cheese icing. Yum!

These were delicious! Super moist, not too pumpkin-y...the flavoring was just right! I too could not get the sugar to melt with the nuts, but toasted it up for a while and used as is. The nuts were a fabulous compliment to the cupcake. Perfect for fall celebrations! I will definitely make these again!

This was an awesome recipe! I took it to a friend's potluck and everyone wanted to take a few home. I also got the comment from work when I took them in that people enjoyed them even though they usually "detest" pumpkin. I made some with the nuts and some without, seemed like the ones without were more appealling (and those took a lot less patience from me since I did not have to stand over them trying to get the nuts to stick in the icing).

Absolutely delicious! Made them for a get-together on Thanksgiving day at a friends house. Made two (2) batches and my husband has eaten some already. He has complimented me twice already and that means something from a man who rarely makes comments about his food, (unless its a negative one). The prep was easy and fast and they are so moist and the flavor is superb. Everybody, please try them.

These cupcakes were great! I did not use the nuts because I made them for a work thanksgiving feast and thought that that would not appeal to many people. My fiance tried them the night I made them and loved them! They do not have a "overly" pumpkin taste. I think the recipe might be better using apple sauce instead of oil, I may try that next time.

I made these for a pot luck at my husband's work. They almost didn't make it out of the house. My husband loved them and he does not like pumpkin. Will make them again for sure.
