Comments: I used peach pie filling. I think next time I will cook the base for 10 minutes first, then add filling and topping and finish baking. The base was a little "not done" for me. Otherwise, really good. |

Comments: Very good. VERY SWEET. Best if made the day before. I am going to try blueberry and used lemon extract instead of almond. Easy enough for children to make. |

Comments: My family loves them...even my super-picky daughter. I thought they were real delicious, but I have to watch my figure. I only ate 1 bar. The whole time I was making these I was thinking...ooooh these are REAL BAD. |

Comments: I hosted a dinner party a few weeks ago and I made these along with a brownie torte (recipe also from this web site). They liked both, but the fruit bars got all the raves hands down. As a matter of fact, weeks later one of my guests asked that I make a special batch for them. I'm ooking forward to trying them with blueberry filling as well. |

Comments: I was disappointed. The bars were too sweet and left an aftertaste. Maybe I need to let them age a day or so like a previous reviewer. |

Comments: WOW!!!! My kids and husband ate these so fast, I was lucky to get a taste! I loved the crunch on top with the cherry filling in the middle. I actually only had one sugar cookie mix so I halved everything and made it in a pie dish and it came out PERFECT. It baked for about 35 monutes instead as well. Just kept an eye on it and pulled it when light browned. Excellent recipe! |

Comments: These were fantastic! They actually got better after sitting for a day or 2 (they softened up). Also, because other people suggested it, I left off the glaze. I definitely thought it was sweet enough without it. |

Comments: I made these cookie bars for some the teachers and students at my school. I used frozen cherries with added sugar (to sweeten) and cornstarch (to thicken) them. These cookie bars were a big hit. The sugar cookie base added just enough sweetness for the tart cherries. Many of the teachers and students were asking for the recipe. |

Comments: I made these with apple, instead of cherry. No one care for them. In the picture they look so YUMMY! But they weren't good, too much sugar. |

Comments: My family loved this! I didn't even put the glaze on the top because it seemed sweet enough as it was. And it was perfect!
At first it seemed 1 can of cherries looked too sparse, but that was fine; I'm glad I tried it that way instead of adding more. |

Comments: This is THE dessert to bring to any gathering! I made this to bring in to work and EVERYONE raved about how GOOD it was! Easy to make, not time consuming. The only thing different I did was (after reading a prev review) is I cooked it for 40 mins vs. 50 mins. Which was perfect! I think the full time is too long. Very moist and perfect for brunches, coffees, and after dinner pastry! A must bring...your dish will be the HIT of the party...GUARANTEED! :) |

Comments: This was SO good! I didn't have the sugar cookie pouches or cherry filling, so I used the Peanut Butter Cookie pouches instead and apple filling. It was a huge hit! OH SO GOOD! I will definitely make these again. But 50 mins in my oven was too long - the bottom got a little too brown, next time I'll make it 35-40 mins instead. |
