Comments: Great quick treat! Try using apple filling instead of a fresh apple. It makes this so rich and gooey. Serve warm and top with vanilla ice-cream! |

Comments: This recipe was great! I only made one change and it was an accident. I made this for Thanksgiving and I had a lot going on at the time I was working on the recipe--I was on the phone with my Mom, my three dogs were all going crazy and my husband brought the little girl from across the street over to show her our Christmas decorations. With all that going on at once, I forgot to put the salt in, but it made no difference at all. They were still a big hit at Thanksgiving dinner! |

Comments: These bars are simple to make and delicious. I followed the directions as written and the bars turned out fantastic. One recommendation would be to refrigerate after cooling and slicing. When the bars were left at room temperature in a covered tin they became too soft, after refrigerating...perfect! |

Comments: These bars were EXCELLENT!!!!! They were a complete hit at my house! I added cinnamon throughout the recipe. Even after they cooled, I put them in the microwave for 15 seconds and they were warm and gooey just like when they came out of the oven! Definetly a keeper! Super easy too! |

Comments: Maybe I didn't bake the cookie base long enough, but this turned into a gooey, overly sweet mess. It more resembled an apple crisp instead of a cookie. The best thing I could do with this is spoon it over ice cream. |

Comments: The bars were very sweet and chewy, however, I thought they could have used a bit more apples. The apple flavor did not stand out. |

Comments: We really like these. The key is to use a really good caramel sauce. We also added walnuts. This is also good in a variation: Use chocolate cookie mix (in place of oatmeal), chocolate chips (in place of apples), and chocolate sauce (in place of caramel) ~ I made both of these and I have to say the chocolate was a chocolate lovers dream!
This is a keeper ~ easy to make too! |

Comments: These were AWESOME!!! and best of all the kids loved them. I did as others suggested and just sliced my apples. I used 2 apples which is about 1 1/2 cups and added some cinnamon to the apples. I am not a fan of coconut but you could add that as well. |

Comments: These bars are outstanding. I tried to make them without the recipe, but they didn't turn out the same. My husband loved them too, and was able to take them in his lunch since they are firm enough but not hard. The only thing I do different is make my own carmel sauce with 1 cup of brown sugar and 1 cup of butter (or margarine). I melt it and boil for a minute. I add the flour as suggested in the recipe. Then I let it cool. Sometimes I make extra sauce to keep in the refrigerator. This recipe is Great!! |
