If you like chocolate this is a must bake! One of the best desserts i've ever made. A few of my changes... don't let the cake bake all the way through, take it out of the oven 5 minutes ahead of the time recommended and blend while still hot. add the ganache to the top before putting in the freezer/refrigerator, makes the cake easier to slice. instead of mixing the strawberries into the blended cake/ganache mix i spread them on the bottom of the springform pan before pouring the mix on top. The strawberries last longer that way. I ate it 2 days later and the strawberries were still firm and juicy.

This cake is absolutely amazing!!! A little time consuming until you get the hang of it - but now i can make in no time flat! I've even been asked to make it for other people's parties. the only downside is that if you don't eat it the day of the strawberries aren't very good, but even then, you can eat around them :)

Everyone LOVED the cake! Many said it looked like a $40 cake from the local fancy bakery. I useed frozen strawberries and suggest that you don't, they became soggy. I also removed the top crust of the cake while it was hot and didn't use it. Then crumpled the entire cake while it was still hot. This can be done way ahead of time so your not spending all day in the kitchen at once. It made the other steps just fly by.

I LOVE to bake and I thought this recipe would be PERFECT for Valentine's Day. What I didn't realize is that I would be spending ALL DAY in the kitchen creating this cake. There are several steps involved in this recipe, which I really didn't think would be a problem as long as the cake was as fantastic as these reviews said it would be. Unfortunately, I was SADLY disappointed. The flavors of the chocolate and strawberry just did NOT mix well together with this recipe (this coming from a HUGE fan of chocolate-dipped strawberries!). My family thought there was some kind of alcohol in the cake because of the weird taste it had. I had a TINY piece of it and it was SO NOT WORTH the time and energy to make it! Plus, if you see the calorie and fat count in this recipe, you'll probably think twice before going with this cake. I HIGHLY recommend Betty's Brownie Torte recipe -- it looks gourmet but takes NO time at all!

Although this recipe is a little time consuming, it is easy, the outcome is delicious and looks like a gourmet cake! I'm a huge fan of the major chain cheesecake restaurant's, G. Chocolate Cheesecake. This recipe is right up there with that. Since strawberries aren't in season at the moment in Florida, I have also found that placing a layer of quality raspberry, no sugar added, preserves in the center and then garnishing it with some raspberries is delicious and beautiful.

I made this cake almost as soon as I saw the recipe. Everyone loved it. I was very happy with both the presentation and taste. It is indeed time consuming but worth every second of it. I had no trouble with the strawberries. Even the 2nd day they didn't look or taste bad. In fact I am so happy with it I am making it for a church bake sale, however, I want to make two because it will be terrible to make it and have to give it away without having any. ;-}

i made this for easter and everyone loved it, except some of the kids. i made mine with whipped topping and extra strawberries on top because the chocolate ganache seemed like too much. i would suggest not putting the strawberries in the middle because they got a little soggy, maybe freezing them after cutting them would help. but besides that it was really great and i loved how dense it was.

I loved this cake, it was easy, a little time cunsuming but well worth it. All my guests loved it. The cake was rich but the strawberries balanced it well. It was almost like a cheesecake consistancy but still had a cake texture. I will definately make this again.

After reading the reviews, I agree this has to be wonderful. To solve the issue with the strawberrie, what if you patted them dry and covered them in the ganache before folding them in? I know it's another step but it might help make the cake last longer and possibly to be made a day ahead of time and not be mushy. I am going try this for Valintine's Day.

This cake is awesome! It is MUCH easier to make than I had anticipated. I have done it with strawberries, peanut butter cups and caramel cups. All are equally GREAT. The two with the candy cups, last longer. Strawberries are GREAT but the cake needs to be eaten within a few days.

This cake is AWESOME. Everyone loved it. A lot easier to make than I thought. Next time I think I might try using raspberries instead or the strawberries.

This is a great cake, and is a hit every time I make it! It's also really yummy if you substitute the strawberries for mini peanut butter cups.

This was a very good cake and SUPER rich, I just have a few tips:1. Use LOTS of strawberries to balance out the rich chocolate.2. Make a bit more ganache, the recipie's wasn't enough to cover my cake. But don't double it, that would be WAY too much.3. When you beat the cubes with a electric mixer, pieces fly all over. This is just a warning, I have no solution for that.4. I would recommend to use fresh strawberries instead of frozen ones, which I tried. It still worked, but I think fresh is better.Besides all these suggestions, this is a great and very professional cake that even my brother who doesn't like cakes liked it. So Enjoy!
