I substitued the white flour for the same amount of 100% Whole Wheat Pastry Flour, used butter, and added 1 1/4 cups chopped walnuts and pecans and 3/4 cups dark semi-sweet chocolate chips. Edges of cookies nice and crunchy with a decadent chewy center. Very good! Not low calorie but whole grain!

Super easy and tastes great! I used almost half the butter recommended & still turned out great!Easy enough for my 2 year old to help with & loved eating the finished product!

These were great. I had made a mistake and added four sticks of butter [because I thought that 1 stick was a 1/4 cup] instead of two. So I had to add more flour and oats to make up for the extra butter. Awesome cookies. I will make again.

These were the best cookies. Quick and easy too. My kids claimed they didn't like oatmeal cookies. They kept coming back for more!

These cookies were a hit in my house. Addictive was the adjective I got from my boyfriend. They tasted a tiny bit too buttery for me but otherwise were great.

These cookies were fantastic! I made 10-12 dozen of them for friends, coworkers, etc. I was told many times that they were the "best cookies" that they'd ever had.%0d%0a%0d%0aThanks for the great recipe! :)

Delicious cookies-- they were easy to make and turned out great! Also, the cookies handled much better after being refrigerated for a short time and old fashioned oats also work great. Overall a good recipe-- I will definitely make them again!

Made these for my boyfriend and his father. It made about 3 dozen cookies for me. They were gone by the next day! They were very crumbly though. Didn't hold together very well.

Cookies were great! However my cookies did not bake out flat, I had to flatten them before baking.

This is the cooky recipe I have been searching for for years. It is delicious and holds it's shape, no spreading%0d%0aand burning around the edges. My husband was really impressed. I did extend the baking time to get the browing around the edges. Thanks for the recipe.

These cookies were very good. My two daughters normally will not eat oatmeal anything. I am happy I can finally sneak in a little bit with out them knowing.

WONDERFUL COOKIES!!!! Didn't quite use as much butter as they called for but they were still moist and delicious :)Will keep this recipe for years to come! Difficult not to bake these just right...left some in for a little too long (accidentally) and they still turned out great...almost a burnt proof recipe!
