Wow! This recipe was so good! I'm actually eating a slice right now and felt the need to hop on line to leave a review. I made 2 pies, one with just bacon, the other with spinach. Also I used pre-made pie crust. The whole family, including my one year old (the pickiest eater alive)truly enjoyed the quiche! Yum!

This was super good! I double the recipe to make 2 pies. I also only used milk, instead of cream of half and half. I came out fabulous-just like a restaurant! Yum!

This is my birthday dinner every year since I can remember. This is just a great recipe. In the original recipe...or just the way my mom did it, you can just go ahead and pour the quiche in before putting the pastry in the oven and cook 15 min at 425 and then turn it down to 325 for another 30 min or until it sets up. That cuts out a couple of steps, and it doesn't burn it and still tastes awesome. If you like the flavor of whole wheat, you can substitute whole wheat flour in the pastry. It is not as flaky, but makes it a little more healthy. Also great with spinach instead of the bacon.

It tasted just fine when it was done, but it took alot longer than 50 minutes to cook at 325, and there was nothing wrong with my oven.

This quiche is sooooo good! I did make a couple alterations and feel it came out perfect. I substituted fat free half and half to cut some of the fat and also lighlty sauteed the onions in about 1 TB bacon fat. I highly recommend the FF half and half. I was a little worried I would ruin the whole thing - but I swear you won't miss the calories!

I make this often for my children. I have omitted the bacon and used crab meat. They love it either way. I have always used a ready made pie crust. It is so easy to make. I have even served this to my day care kids when I owned a day care. They too loved it!! Thanks Betty for having easy to make meals. I love to cook but having MS I find it hard from time to time. I can look on here and find something easy and healthy to make!!

Easy, but not so easy that the cook will appear to be cutting corners.

This is such a simple breakfast for your family and/or company. Every time I make it everyone gives me great reviews. They can't believe that I made it from scratch. Do youself and your company a big favor and make them this quiche. I buy the pre-cooked bacon at Costco of which is thick and lean. It is fabulous!!!

I made this today, and it is wonderful,my aunt came by for a visit tried it and thank goodness I made 2 as she had to take half of one, with her along with the recipe, this is one I will use frequently as we love quiche and I plan to try the spinach one next and maybe the collard also, thanks for a great and simple meal.My aunt always has her son and his family down for wednesday dinner so I expect that this will be soon on the menu at her house, not for brunch but for dinner.

I have the big red Betty Crocker cookbook and my mom always made a "Spinach Crabmeat Quiche" version by substituting 1 cup (8 oz pkg) of imitation crabmeat for the bacon, adding 1/2 package of thawed frozen spinach (squeezing out all the water), and increasing salt to 1/2 teaspoon. She also used ready made pie crusts to save time and it was always served at Thanksgiving. Guests always enjoyed this dish! This dish also works well using fat free half and half.

Ever since I was a little girl, my mother allowed us to choose one favorite dish to be served on our Birthdays. I always chose the Betty Crocker Quiche and we always made it our own way. The recipe with the heavy cream and the swiss cheese gives it such a great flavor and texture and we would add things like turkey, spinach, broccoli and corn. Now I want to revisit that childhood recipe, but I am on a low carb diet, I just follow the same instructions without the pie crust and it makes a great low carb meal with the entire pie being about 2-5 carbs depending on the vegetables added. This recipe is wonderful and delicious served cold or hot. The next day the flavors set in even more and although I've never been one for leftovers, I can never resist eating as much of this pie as possible. I highly recommend this recipe to anyone seeking a healthy, delicious and somewhat different meal that can be served for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great with some fruit on the side or a fresh salad.
