this was a hit with my brothers and family-will definitely make again. add some italian seasoning during last hours for extra flavor, and a few more veggies for hardy eaters.

I prepared this dish to the letter since it was my first time. There was very little flavor. Unimpressive...

mmm good browned the meat and I made the gravy with beef broth and canned tomatoes from the meat drippings and a shredded clove of garlic. Nothing was left and I have 3 kids.

I made this dinner yesterday and everyone loved it. It was easy to make and I like doing meals in one pot especially at this time of year. It had great flavor, and the meat was tender. I did brown the meat before adding everything but agree you can just add the meat raw. I will make this again.

Absolutely delicious, I didn't bother browning the beef in a skillet either. I just threw it in with the veggies and cooked it on high in my Hamilton crockpot for about 5 hours, and it turned out perfectly, meat was VERY tender, got rave reviews from the boyfriend too, this recipe is definately a keeper :-)

My family loves this recipe. I make it all the time when I'm going to work. I don't always cook the meat first. I put it in raw and cook for the same amount of time and it's fine as long as the meat is very lean.

This is just the kind of meal I like. Everything in one dish. We really liked it. I did not have the kind of tomatoes that the recipe called for, but I did have a jar of sun-dried tomatoes. It really gave it a good taste.

Great meal, but we had a lot of vegetables left over and no meat (but I used a full can of tomatoes because I didn't want them to go to waste). Also, I suggest adding a layer of salt on the potatoes.

Very good. Easy to prepare. My family loves it, even my picky eater (no beef). I cut down on the seasoned salt and used a 14 oz. can of Italian seasoned diced tomatoes. The original recipe did not specify a tomato brand. At the end, I remove the meat and vegetables and thickened the sauce a little with corn starch. It makes a lot and worked well for a pot roast too.

I tried this recipe with my picky family. My husband does not like pot roast and when he saw it his first comment was negative. Then he tasted it. Several times during the meal he said, "This really is very good." My children loved it and there were no leftovers. It was simple and delicious.

My family really liked this, but I think it could have used a few more spices. The liquid was thin, but we liked it that way. I will prepare it again.

My husband wasn't overly thrilled with this dish. Said it was just OK. Probably won't make it again.

this recipe was not bad...it turned out to be more like a roast rather than a swiss steak dinner!!!the steak shredded & it was very juicy but the flavor saved it!!! i'd consider making it again, just not that often.

This was a very easy and yummy dinner. I'm not big on beef, but this was very good. I used sirloin steaks in stead of round steak though, and I used 2 cans of beef gravy and one can of chopped tomates with onions. Even my picky nine year old liked it. I did change the cooking time also (6 hrs on high)
