Comments: The overall flavor and concept of the dish was very unique and pleasant. When reading the initial recipe the ingredients made it seem like it would be a relatively healthy dish, but some the the preparation steps effect the overall taste and nutritional value. Adding 3/4 cup of liquid to create a sauce is simply too much liquid for this dish. Stir-fry is about through preparation up front and quick execution on the back end, resulting in a flavorful and tender dish. The amount time required to reduce the liquid in the sauce ended up boiling the vegetables, making them mushy and significantly lowered the nutritional value of the dish. I would recommend reducing the amount of chicken stock in the sauce to between 1/8 and 1/4 of a cup. |
