This is wonderful, I also made this using, chocolate, vanilla & strawberry premium ice cream in place of the sherbert, then drizzle a little chocolate syrup or fudge sauce on the plate before placeing the slice of cake & sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Excellent make ahead dessert! Some helpful hints:a)make sure your cake mix is fresh-not expiredb)instead of buying different sherbets, buy one of the "marbled" sherbet blends.c)I would make be prepared to make a couple of cakes. The first one I tried, didnt turn out-dont know why. luckily I had an extra box and the second one was perfect.d)this recipe is great for potlucks-make ahead and just carry from freezer to freezer. Gets great "wow!" factor from your guests!e)I served mine with a side of frozen unsweetened raspberries-incredible!!MAKE ONE OR 2 EXTRA ONES-YOUR FAMILY WILL INHALE THIS!!

I made this for a family dinner. Instead of baking the second half in a loaf pan, I baked it in another jelly roll pan. Used rainbow sherbet (easier). Made two rolls thinking I might have leftovers. Both kids and adults loved it. I could have auctioned off the last piece to the highest bidder. Now my 6 year old grandson wants it for his birthday cake. I'd call that a great endorsement !

I've never tried to do a jelly roll before because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to do the rolling part. This was so easy! Great light recipe and definitely a "do again". Make sure you print the recipe out because everyone will ask for it.

I made this for my baby shower last weekend and it was such a huge success that I have been asked to give the recipe to friends and make it for holidays. I am not sure who came up with this idea but I have to say many thanks. This recipe is so easy to make and it only took me a few minutes to get it together. I have to give one piece of advice though, when it says lay on towel and wrap while it is still warm, make sure you do that, once it cools it is a little harder to wrap.

Nice Recipe. With the angel food cake and sherbert, it's fairly low fat, a bit healthier than ice cream cake.

This is a great easy and fast recipe to make. The cakemix was very easy to use. You do need to use a large bowl because the cake mix fluffs up. It was easy to spread in the pan. I did use parchment paper and a spread a very light layer of butter on the paper. The quart size containers of the sherbert were slightly priced for our fixed income so my husband bought the gallon sherbet and I separated the colors when I took it out of the freezer to soften. After I putting the sherbet on and refreezing, I precut them and put them back in the freezer so that they would be ready to serve and. I then typed up the recipe and left it on the table next to my presentation. Betty Crocker makes life so much easier. WOW! Everyone just loved this roll.

This is a perfect dessert for that special Easter Sunday dinner. It's light and airy, not too over-the-top rich, and really quite easy to make. The lovely pastel shades of the sherbet will work well with the daffodils and tulips gracing the center of your spring festival table. It's definitely a keeper in my recipe collection.
