My mother has been making this recipe every Christmas for almost 20 years. It has indeed become a holiday tradition. It IS time consuming but the final product is well worth the effort and I guarantee your family and any holiday guests will tell you so. If you're not a big fan of coffee, we have added more vanilla, peppermint, orange, the filling recipe is easy to kind of wrangle into anything you want it to be. |

This was a bit time consuming, but well worth the effort. What a nice presentation piece as well as a specatacular and delicious festive treat. I am a French teacher and some of my students made this for our annual foreign language celebration week in March of 2006. |
