Comments: I'M TRYING MY HAND AT THIS SNOWMAN. HE LOOKS SO ADORABLE IN THE PHOTO, I ONLY HOPE I WILL DO AS WELL. MY FORTE IS IN THE COOKING AND BAKING, NOT SO MUCH IN THE DECORATING DEPT. I ALSO ALTERED THE INGREDIENTS A BIT ADDING SAUTEED CHALOTS, GARLIC, PARSLEYSALT AND WHITE PEPPER IN THE BOTTOM HALF (THE BODY) AND FOR THE HEAD I SAUTEED ONE SERANO CHILE FINELY CHOPPED, GREEN ONION INCLUDING GREEN PORTIONS AND TOMATOE AFTER REMOVING THE SEEDS AND CORE, PLUS SALT AND PEPPER. yummmmm...OH I DIDN'T FIND CHEDDAR CHEESE SO I USED PROVOLONE IN THE BODY AND MANCHEGO IN THE HEAD! |

Comments: I fixed this for our annual post choir party - after all the services, special programs, etc. Everyone loved it when they saw it. They tentatively approached it from the side; soon poor "Frosty" was down for the count. They especially liked the pesto section. We had our monthly birthday celebration after choir rehearsal the next week, so I made a snow "ball" from what I had left and took it in. They were delighted to have a second chance at it!I used pimento for the scarf - worked well. |

Comments: This was so much fun! My two daughters and I had a great time putting him together, frosting him, and decorating him. We brought him to our family Thanksgiving gathering. The compliments were non-stop...nobody would eat him! I tried to start by scooping a bit from his backside (which was delicious!), but nobody followed suit.We will definitely make him again, but as the recipe suggests, I will set aside some of the cheese mixture to serve separately. :) |
