Comments: I have been making this recipe for years from the cookbook my Great-Aunt gave me as a wedding present. The book is falling apart, but I still use it! When I make this recipe I have to double it for leftovers and for my sister to take home. I also make 2 loaves of Yeast Bread from the cookbook. Yummy! |

Comments: My family loved this soup. I added Moir's chicken flavored soup base which is carried at a local grocery chain, and "acini di pepe" pasta instead of the standard egg noodles. Think chicken and stars pasta, just a little bigger, and round. otherwise I just doubled the recipe and used organic veggies and Amish chicken. I don't usually go to this much trouble but with the cold weather and cold and flu season here, it was well worth it. |

Comments: This took a while to make but the taste was very good. The only thing missing was a little salt. The flavor reminds me of chicken and dumplings. Very tasty! |

Comments: I remember this recipe from your cookbook that came out in the 70's. This recipe is great, easy and everyone raves about it. When I make soup,I have a tendency to put too many ingredents in and it's not as good. I followed your recipe exactly and it turned out delicious. Thanks so much for your free recipies. They are easy, the ingredients aren't hard to find in a regular grocery store and best of all they taste great.I still like the cookbook from the 1970's the best. I have the book from the 1950's and the new book as well. I remember as a child helping my mother make cakes and cookies. She used that cookbook from the 1950's so hard. The pages were stained with ingredients and all falling out. She also wrote many notes on the side with most of the recipies.Thank you Betty Crocker! |

Comments: I did some substitution. I used the big can of chicken broth and seasoned it with parsley, thyme, and basil. I also used boneless chicken breast, chopped thme up and boiled the chunks in the seasoned broth. Instead of using the fresh carrots, celery, onion, and chicken bouillon granules, I used the frozen vegetables medley that goes in soup by Green Giant. |

Comments: I have been making this recipe for many years out the the actual red Betty Crocker cookbook that was given as a wedding present. The only difference for my family is that I use homemade egg noodles and it makes it that much better. |
