I loved the crust! It is good all on it's own. With fruit, it was a new taste for me. I used strawberries & grapes. I also used strawberry jam instead of the apple jam just by mistake. I would make this again for a party & such. It is something that needs to be eaten that day. Overnight the crust seems to get a bit soggy. Now I am trying to think of what else I can make with the crust. A chocolate pudding spread with whipped topping? The ideas are endless!!

I'd definitely make this again! Strawberries weren't in season yet when I made it, and I could not find any that looked any good, so I used fresh pineapple, canned peaches & fresh kiwi instead. It was great. I bought no name apple jelly that seemed a little runny to begin with and after boiling, it didn't seem to want to stay on the top as a glaze. I should have probably let it cool a little before putting it on. However, it didn't really affect the look or taste of the dessert. Everyone loved it. I don't know why one reviewer mentioned crust was too salty and hard - mine turned out great.

The fruit and whipped cream were good but the crust was too salty and hard. I would make it again replacing the bisquick with pastry crust.

I first tasted this recipe at work. Someone made it and brought it to a covered dish lunch/baby shower for one of the office staff. It was beautiful and fresh looking. I never thought anything that looked that pretty could be very good. "good for you" but not "good". Well, after everyone had there share of everything at the table, I had to go back for "just one more little piece"....It was delicious....

This dessert was fabulous. I served it at a dinner party and everyone loved it! My only complaint is that it got kind of smooshy. Maybe after more practice making it I will be able to prepare it better.
