Comments: Everyone makes pumpkin pie, but not everyone likes pumpkin pie, especially after a heavy Thanksgiving meal. The pumpkin flavor is light and it's complimented by the light texture of the angelfood cake. I've made it twice-- once unfrosted/iced and once frosted/iced and both times received rave reviews. If you're going somewhere and need to bring a dessert and don't want to be the 5th pumpkin pie there, try this one out. |

Comments: I made it for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. It is so light and different. I don't know if i'd bother with the crystallized ginger the next time but I will make it again and probably often. |

Comments: I made this cake for Thanksgiving, not as a replacement for the pumpkin pie but as an alternative choice. I took the tip from other reviews and used Cool Whip, only I stirred about 1/3 cup of powdered sugar and about 3/4 teaspoon of fresh ground ginger (found in a jar in the produce section of my grocery store) into a tub of Lite Cool Whip. I just sliced the cake and served the Ginger-CoolWhip on the side as a topping. Everyone who tried it loved it. Angel food cake meets pumpkin pie, a great low fat dessert. I definitely will make it again. |

Comments: this cake was easy to make and very tasty. The frosting seemed to sweet to me and complicated so i took a box instant pudding, make it with one cup milk, when its set up i added a carton of thawed cool whip, i used this for the frosting. Everyone loved it and this would be a very good cake for diabetics. I made it Thanksgiving |

Comments: Disgusting! The flavor sucks, the texture sucks, and angelfood cake itself sucks, but this is even worse. The cinnamon clashes with the angelfood flavor to make it truly nasty, and you can barely taste the pumpkin. This was a flop at MY party. Don't even bother! The flavor is reminiscent of Dentyne. |

Comments: Why ruin a great fat free cake with regular whipping cream? I made this with fat free cool whip and kept it a fat free dessert. |

Comments: My family loved this recipe! The second time I made it..I altered the frosting by using 1 container of cool whip to 1 container of ready made cream cheese frosting and then added pumpkin pie spice until it was the way I liked it to taste. |
