I tried this recipe last night and could not believe how easy it was to put together. I sauted my own onions and bell peppers instead of using frozen and I thawed my meat and drained the extra juice off and used diced tomatoes instead of tomato sauce. Family loved this one. Thanks Betty crocker!!!!

Great recipe, I made a few changes. Instead of tomato sauce I used a can of diced tomatoes, I sauteed fresh onions and green peppers instead of frozen and instead of putting the whole seasoning packet in the beans, I put half in the beans and I used the other half to coat the fresh chicken breasts that I cut up and sauteed prior to baking. Family enjoyed it and will make it again!

The recipe was a good base for what this dish should be. I substituted a lot of ingredients. I used fresh bell pepper, and onions instead of ready made stuff. I used fresh black beans not refried beans. I used plain chicken cutlets, instead of the flavored chicken. I only used a half of the fajita seasoning, (because of the salt) I cut the tortillas into strips and layered them so the flavors would cook through. It actually came out really good. I suggest using fresh ingredients. Easy recipe.

This was great, 1 suggestion though in the directions it states to use thawed veggies and chicken that is very important, mine was not all the way thawed out and some of it came out cold but I reheated in oven and it was fine. It is a very filling dish, I could not finish all of mine but my Husband did, which is not usual. I will definetely make this a permanent recipe. Thanks Betty Crocker

This was not good. I will not be making this again. My family was wonderful and ate it anyway but I tore up this recipe.

This was awesome! I altered it a bit by pan-frying pieces of chicken breast with cayenne powder and chili powder. I also used fresh sauteed green pepper and onion. Mixing in about 1/4 cup of salsa into the bean mixture really makes spreading easier in the layers too. This has become a favorite request in my household.
