I made this for a baby shower and it was a big hit. I didn't garnish with strawberries, and instead used the remaining lime peel, which turned out surprisingly well. I would not recommend topping with lime peel for leftovers, but when they were still moist, they really brought out the daiquiri flavor.

I found this cake to have no flavor. I will try it one more time using a strawberry cake mix instead of the drink mix.

The cake was really good I made it today for my birthday. Everybody that came really loved it. The recipe was really easy to find. The drink mix was easy too. I just used Kool-aid. It was exactly what the recipe called for. Overall, the whole thing was really good.

My cake turned out more like a brownie. It was heavy and flat. I had a difficult time finding the unsweetened strawberry drink mix, but I found some after going to three different stores. I'm not sure why my cake didn't turn out looking like a cake. It tasted great - it just was more like a strawberry brownie.

This cake was just not good. I followed the instructions exactly as written, and despite it not being very difficult, it just didn't taste good. The only part of the cake that tasted like strawberries were the fruits themselves (which makes me wonder why you have to add the drink mix at all), and even adding a little extra lime zest, you could barely taste the lime. I will not be making this cake again.
