This was my first time making a homemade cheesecake of any kind. I have always resorted to the boxed cheesecake mixture but not anymore!!! This cheesecake turned out wonderful: the texture and the taste were both spectacular. It did cracked but I believe it was due to irregularity in oven temperature. For all you first timers, this is a recipe worth trying.

I have no idea what "natesmom" from below is talking about.. The pumpkin cheesecake that I made turned out perfectly. Also, every other review on here is positive. She must not have followed the recipe correctly. The only thing that I would suggest is to make sure that you keep the cheesecake in the oven for the full amount of time to ensure doneness. Enjoy ;)

yuck! i wanted to try a new recipe for pumpkin cheesecake because i have been using the same recipe for years... This cheesecake started out ok ,the batter looked good. but once it was finished cooking it i knew it was going to be bad. one bite was all it took, i threw out the whole thing. awful! no taste whatsoever just a plain old cheesecake. i guess i shouldnt have used a new recipe, why mess with a good thing? i am bummed that i spent so much money on this terrible cheesecake. never again!

I have made this twice now and the first time I made it just like the recipe and it was very rich but amazing. The second time i made it with half light cream cheese and half regular. It was still quite rich but much better. Next time I will try it with all light cream cheese and I think it will still be great1

The best cheesecake I've made. This recipe is detailed and fail-proof. My next cheesecake will be based on this recipe.

This isn't a hard recipe to make, just a little time consuming. It is totally worth it though. I can normally take or leave pumpkin pie, but this cheesecake is incredible! It has a really smooth, rich texture! I made this tonight for Christmas dinner tomorrow, and couldn't resist a test taste. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least! My pie had cracks all the way around the edges, but still didn't look that bad once chilled. I am making another one next week for New Year's. Highly recommend this recipe. Happy Holidays everyone!

Don't let the "8 hr 45 min" scare you...it's very simple. This is the 2nd year I have made this recipe and once again, it was fabulous! My mother, who is a cheescake snob, loved it (she said she didn't think she would). I have searched other pumpkin cheesecake recipes...this one is by far THE BEST!!!

Although I cracked my cake both times I baked it, it was absolutely wonderful! It has a rich, smooth texture unlike a lot of cheesecakes. The addition of brandy enhances the spices and flavor of the pumpkin so well. Perhaps if the oven were left closed when cooling the recommended 30 minutes it might not crack? The egg tip did not work.

I made this for Halloween. It is delicious, especially if you let it refrigerate overnight. I found it easy to make. I usually do the water bath for a cheesecake but the recipe didn't mention it, I felt lazy so I skipped it, and it still turned out perfectly, not a crack. Not much else to say, I followed the recipe exactly - it turned out great - I would make it again!

The first time I ever made a cheesecake was this one for Thanksgiving 2007. I just made another one for Christmas dinner tomorrow by request! This is absolutely fantastic!! Make sure not to over beat after adding the eggs and use a water bath while baking and you won't get cracks. Both that I have made turned out gorgeous and taste out of this world!

I baked this for an office party. I got good reviews. I really ejoyed it myself. I used ginger snaps for the crust which tasted amazing. It was a pain in the behind to prepare. I would make again. Only once a year though.

I made this cheesecake - minus the brandy - for Thanksgiving 2007. I am not a pumkin pie fan but love cheesecake. I decided to make the combination to satisfy everyone. No one in my family had the nerve to try it first, so after all my hard work, I did. It was fabulous! I talked others into trying it and it was a hit! The pumpkin cheesecake disappeared within minutes! I will definately make this dessert again. It was well worth the time spent!!

I don't like pumpkin but I decided to try this because my new husband likes pumpkin and cheesecake. It turned out to be a hit at the family's Thanksgiving dinner! I would definitely make it again!

This cheesecake is amazing. I made it for thanksgiving, and tastes enough like pumpkin pie that no one was missed having pie. We will make this again and again.

Absolutely THE BEST pumpkin dessert of any kind! My family cannot get enough of this cheesecake, and it's officially replaced standard pumpkin pie from here on out! There's a new Thanksgiving tradition in town - and it's THIS pumpkin cheesecake recipe!

This was my first attempt to make cheesecake from scratch. The receipe was so easy to make, my toddlers even helped me make it. Everyone loved the cheesecake, it was so creamy. For the crust I used ginger snaps instead of the graham cracker crust.

As a big cheese cake lover, I am enthusiastic about trying out new recipes as I come across them. This one sounded elaborate at first, and it is. But I have made it twice now and it isn't at all difficult, just time involving. But it is worth the 6 hr. or overnight wait. My guests love it and want to get the recipe from me every time. It truly is that good, light and tasty. It also makes an impressive presentation when served with whipped cream and a sprig of mint.
