This cake was very easy to make, but i did not make the whip cream. I would have to say that I was a little disappointed in the taste. I thought I tasted like a chocolate, chocolate chip cookie. I was hoping for something a little different. I would also suggest serving it warm.

This was a delicious! I used margarine in the cake and it turned out very moist. For the chocolate syrup I used a little milk and heavy cream instead of evaporated milk. I used chocolate chips because that was all I had on hand, but I think it would have been even better with the chocolate chunks. I also think that instead of crushed candy cane, strawberries or raspberries would be a great garnish!
